I am sick of moving my bootleg collection around, I have moved the thing 4 times now. I am looking to get rid of my collection of bootlegs. If anyone is interested shot me a PM and we can talk about it more. I have over 200 boots on disk with printed covers and cases. I would like to find someone who is willing to take the whole collection, if no one is interested I will start breaking it down.

Man is that ever dirt cheap. It would cost you way more than $200 to build that collection yourself. CD cases, printer ink and blank cdr's and your time.

I've got close to 180 shows so I won't bother, but I'd jump on that if I had nothing.

Lance, you could make a fortune if you sold that on ebay. I know it probably goes against bootleg rules but then again, it's a one time sell.

As soon as Lance gets rid of his collection, mine will be up on the block next. I have around 200 shows on CD, as well.

Why don't you guys just ditch all the cases and artwork and buy a big binder that holds 8 per page, (4 on each side), order it chronologically and bingo, saving the space and if you ever feel the need to listen to a show you have it.

The auction would get banned in a second. I really don't listen to my shows anymore. All the good shows I have are one my harddrive. I really need the space. I am not out to make any money, just recover alittle cost to buy a harddrive.

I'm not planning on getting rid of my collection, but I know what you mean when you say you don't listen to the shows much anymore. I have maybe 150 shows, and sadly, I just don't listen to them anymore. I even have some that I have never listened to...I have them simply for the sake of collecting. It may just be a fact of getting older and priorities changing...who knows.

I don't imagine I will bother downloading or buying any when this next tour rolss out, but who's to say?

I'm in the same situation as you Billy... and I continue to download and burn every Hip show that gets posted to any Bit Torrent site I visit. Most of them I've never listened to or watched.

If the Hip continues to release shows with livedownloads again, or on their own ala Pearl Jam, I will keep buying. I like the PJ model, that way you can look over all the setlists and choose the shows you want. As for torrents, Ive almost given up on them totally. I think its a great thing, but like you guys I dont listen to them much anymore.

I've always been good at watching all the Hip DVDs I download...figure for that much time to download 4gb, I can put in the time to watch it...but for the audio, like you Chris, I download every Hip show I find that I don't have, and every upgrade I need, but rarely get around to listening to them. I've probably listened to about 25% of the shows I've obtained. Add in live shows from other bands, and I've got a massive collection that sits in binders. I do have fun though organizing all the boots, printing out covers & labels (for the shows that come with them.) I recently purchased one of those DJ cd trunks (holds 600 discs) for my live Hip. All chronological, easy to move discs around, and yes, still room for more.

I'd say I definitely give soundboard/broadcast recordings more listening time than audience recordings.

All in all, it's a hobby that I enjoy, I've met many good people through trading live shows, and while I don't plan to rid myself of all my CDs, you never know. What I should have done, was buy a really big hard-drive, and just kept them all there...less room, ready to play, and probably about the same cost as all the blank CDs I buy.....oh well, I'll never learn
