Just curious to know if you can take mpeg files and make dvd's out of them... wondering if there is a site with any good info or an FAQ somewhere. I have a bunch of non-Hip related music clips I'd love to burn to dvd... any help would be appreciated. We've had a dvd burner for weeks and haven't used it yet...

Check out http://www.afterdawn.com. They have terrific information & already-written guides for many video questions you may have.

The simple answer is yes you can, but, in most cases, you need to convert the MPEG to a different format first. This format depends on what you plan to do with the files, and what software you are using to burn them.
The guides at AfterDawn are pretty good, but they sometimes assume a certain amount of pre-existing know-how.
Good luck, and have patience. The converting process can be very time consuming.
And another important point to consider is that the video clips, when viewed on your TV will probably be quite pixelated. MPEG is a very lossy compression format - great for viewing on computer screens... not so good on big TVs.
