The Road Apples promo video from 1991 - http://tracker.hipfans.com/torrents-details.php?id=127 - features some amazingly well shot rocking concert footage. Where are they from? This takes place before Road Apples is released.

In Cordelia, Gord has hair, he's got sideburns, a white t-shirt with a tie-dye like symbol in the middle. The venue is outside and is just after sunset.

In Three Pistols, they are inside, at a club, a lot of footage shot from audience level. Gord wears an untucked red long sleeve shirt that is soaked through.

Both songs are complete; there's a tasty snippet of New Orleans Is Sinking from another concert where Gord has sideburns and a suede vest.

This stuff was amazingly shot and edited, the sound is incredible, the performances are very strong. Is any of this circulating on boot DVD?

I bought the actual MCA sealed promo tape from Ebay a few years back and gave it to Peter Padjen in 2003 to master to DVD. So for those who got Peter's copy, they got a good source tape.

I'm watching it now and it looks really good but the sound is kind of low. For those who are interested, I can either post a torrent of Peter's DVD or do up a DVD of my own (with a little sound boost) and torrent that.

I can make the DVD from the MCA master in under an hour and have it on the Tracker soon thereafter, so if anyone's interested, say so. *NOTE: This would be the only thing on the DVD (versus a grab bag DVD with many clips).

I think the Three Pistols footage is from the 1990-04-06_Halifax show at the Misty Moon. Iwas watching it yesterday and it seemed like the same footage as the MCA promo.

Can anybody confirm this is accurate?

thx,
Craig

I believe that is correct. I was watching the Misty Moon show not too long ago, and I think it's from the same show.

I would be very interested in a DVD version from an MCA master..I have a multi-generation VHS copy with very poor audio & shaky video. :thumb:

I'm just finishing up a Grab Bag DVD that will include this promo video from TLB.
