this topic has been covered quite a bit, im sure if you use the search function on the site you'll come up with a lot of answers, but you should look at this first: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting.php

can i ask why you'd even want to convert to mp3 before burning?
you already have the music in cd quality...converting to mp3 first just reduces it.
convert the flac to wav and then burn.

I needed to convert some flac to mp3 or WMA to use on my MP3 Player. I had to use frontend to turn to wav and then my windows came with a MP3 convertion program...Plus! Audio Converter, but I think if you get to WAV, making it a MP3 should be pretty easy

I've just been using FLAC Frontend to get them to WAV, then bring them into iTunes and convert them to MP3... That works really well, and it's simple to get lots done quickly...

I've never used Flac frontend before. But another very good alternative is a program called DBpowerAMP Music Converter. It's up for downloading at Download.com.

Converts to and from flac, mp3, wav, wma with plugins that automatically download. and has a right click feature which is really convenient. Just right click a selection of songs and the option to convert to any file type comes up.. there is no need to even open the program.
