I would like some of you Hip gurus opinions on FTP software, preferably free ones. I have used many, with many different results. Which one have you had the best luck with. I am most interested in ones that will run unattended, even if there is an interruption in the connection. Let me know what you think.

Cheers!

Chad

Hope to see some of you 12/31!

I have downloaded SmartFTP and much to my surprise got what i wanted on the first try! At the moment I'm downloading from one of the servers.

What programs are out there to convert the .shn files into usable .wav or better yet .mp3 files? Elementary question, I know, but I'm brand new to this.

That is, assuming .shn files can't be listened to - is there a way to play .shn files? I haven't found one, but I don't know what to look for.

There is a plug in for winamp called shnamp that allows you too listen to them, also mkw is a good program for converting shn to wav etc... Both can be found on etree.

I also perfer to use Shorten for windows.
Look for it here: http://www.softsound.com/Shorten.html

MKW seems to freeze up and/or crash on my system. It seems to work well for most people though. I've never had any problems with Softsound's program.
