Nice to finally see this taper release this show.

Tried a few months ago to get him to do it but he was intent on hoarding it. At that time, WAV was not an option he was willing to think about. Good to see he finally came around.

Ironic that we can't MP3 the show, considering that all he would trade at that time was MP3. "WAV is too much of a hassle" was the excuse.

Just a reminder that there are great folks out there who will help you convert and seed shows if you don't know how or don't have the time. Hoarding is not cool.

Thanks again Shane & Lance

You said you were the only one with that show and you were happy keeping it that way. To me, that's hoarding.
Anyways, no worries.
Thanks for releasing the show.

The show wasn't supposed to be "seeded"...it was a show very few had so it was tradeable. It's rare to find something you can spread around.

I've met many a taper who wants to keep shows to themselves. I don't understand it, and see it much like TLB mentioned. So tapers, what's the reasoning behind keeping shows out of circulation? :?

I know that it takes some time and effort to convert a show so that it can be traded, but I know that there are always people willing to help out in this community, and most trading circles.

For sure. That's to bad I guess it's "value" has declined now due to that fact.

All this over a show I taped years ago, I held this show close to me cause I know for a fact its one of the harder to get shows, I think its great other people have a show I taped and they get a chance to hear something I added to the hip community, but like Grooveless said ITs totally unvalued to me now cause its not 1 of a kind.

Shane

I swear to god though if it goes up for sale on EBay someones gunna die tonight!!!!!!!!

More info on more hip shows I have taped contact me at [email protected]

value of a show shouldn't be why we trade. its the music. to me sharing is the value. i use 10% of my monthly bandwidth seeding shows in STG. to me, getting out a good show is value to me

I'd actually like to see more people on this board get out and tape shows themselves and stop depending on others to trade shows. If we have multiple versions of shows they'll be no excuses for not getting any show that you want. The Hip's taping policy is pretty clear. Both audio and video are allowed (dependent on venue restrictions).

If our trading community was like say DMB no show would be "hoarded". In fact it appears to me that tapers of DMB typically "race" to see who can get their version out the fastest.

The other criticism I have is the majority of tapes that come out of the hip community are pretty mediocre. Good quality equipment is really needed.

My 2 cents.
