It took a month but the Tragically Hip Calgary show is now finished. It is a two disc set and features the show filmed by myself as well as extra footage shot by bootlegger 420, pbotos by Mountahip and an ad, and two reviews of the show.
While a good show, it isn't quite as good as some of the others from the tour as it had to be filmed stealth, so there wasn't the freedom to shoot totally as I would have wanted. I didn't realize that the Hip's crew would be so good in helping people to get their gear in, otherwise, I would have tried that.
I will be doing a torrent of the show but initially I would like to do some trades. This is primarily due to my ISP last month sending me a nasty letter about downloading too much. 10 GB is a pathetic limit for downloading when you are talking about dvds. For a few years now, I have been downloading or uploading pretty much as much as I wanted and so it is wierd that they are suddenly being lame. At any rate, I am trying to watch myself for a little while so I figure I will do the torrent in the second week of July.
If anyone would like to trade, please contact me at:

If you want to send me a copy, I'll post it as my bandwidth is unlimited (ah the perks of a business connection!).

Thanks very much Shane. I work very hard on doing nice menus etc on my dvd's and this is the first time anyone has said anything. The menu on disc one of this show was the most elaborate animation I have done on a menu. That menu alone took a day to render it had so much going on. This thing really did take around a month of work (outside of my job) to produce. All discs have been sent to thosse that originally requested, except for one.

Just got my copy in the mail today & what a great job you've done. Those opening menus are terrific, and I love the polar bear animation. I have the poster up on my wall from the show and I laughed when I saw what you've done with it.

Fantastic job!

With all this talk of how great this DVD is, how come no one is willing to/has posted it to the tracker to share with the rest of us?

Sorry to all that don't have the show yet. I am looking to torrent this bad boy in the next few days if possible, however, I am extremely busy. Normally at work there are four therapists working to cover the whole of Calgary for the company I work for and one left recently and two are on vacation. I am covering all of Calgary and I am on-call this week so my hours are sometimes very long. I am also trying to look for a new place in my off hours as the owner of my apartment is looking to sell by August. I am just a bit busier than normal. I have had various people since the initial few ask for a trade and I would love to do it but I have simply been too busy.
It has been a while since I have torrented something so I may be a bit rusty, especially if the process is significantly different at the hiptracker.

Got mine in the mail, and although I haven't watched them in their entirety, the menus are spectacular and the bit I've watched looked uber cool too.

Thanks for the generous package!!
