wasaga dvd cover questions

this isn't really a trading-related question, but i figured people in this forum would probably have the item in question...

for those who have the wasaga dvd cover (not sure who made it), does anyone know how to blend an image to a solid colour, as in the picture on the back cover? or also how the bottom of the image on the front is smeared downward?

i'm just learning about image editing and want to know how to do some of these effects.

chris made the cover that you are referring to

as far as the back goes, it looks to me like that is either a screenshot or a still shot of gord but with somebody in the way creating that "blend to solid" effect

not sure exactly what he did to the front cover to stretch it and blur it like he did though

I used Photoshop; It has a blend tool and a smear tool.
