hello all,
again, this is in another thread i'm sure...
could someone please suggest a good place online where i could buy and download a program that'll change all my FLAC files to wav and/or mp3? there is one called All2mp3 that looks good, but it makes no mention of FLAC. will it do the trick?
a quick tip would be very helpful.
with thanks,
darren

Flac Frontend is a good program - just google it and you'll find a site where you can download it. :thumb:

Darren, I usually frown upon the "Search Police" that sometimes beat up people in this forum, but have you done any sort of reasearch into FLAC files and the software necessary? You could have had your answer in one quick Google search faster than the time it took you to type your post here. Plus you'd realize that the appropriate software is free.

Kim,
Thank you very much for your help. I had had some trouble finding an appropriate program, and am grateful that a hip fan helped out another, slightly confused, hip fan.

Billy,
I am sorry for having wasted your time, and for having broken the rules. It was not my intent to do so. I should have been more aware of the rules that govern people's curiosity.
It will not happen again.

best,
darren

I don't think anyone really had any hostile intentions, Darren. We all love the Hip and enjoy the discussions here. Based on most forums I've seen (with a few exceptions), I can't blame people for posting a question without searching because a search reveals a zillion posts with subjects like: "Need Help", making it impossible to find anything quickly.

Enter the Hip Fans, typically more intelligent and organized than other types of fans, who try to keep things flowing well and easy to find in the forum.

Most of us don't mind a PM now & then if you're in a spot and can't find what you're looking for. Googling is a great suggestion, too. It may take some time to sort through results, but I can't tell you how much I've learned about editing and converting audio, video, and graphics files just by browsing search results and forums.

Rock on!
