Sound frigging awesome!!!

I got a little worried (and was flogged in this forum pretty heavily) for critisizing the poor vocal performance by Gord on the first Montreal Vol. 1 download...

I was scared the rest of the Canadian tour was going to be more of the same..

But Nope!..
I downloaded Vol. 2 & 3 and LOVE THEM...

I think the Ottawa show is the better of the two but..
Highlights of the London CD IMO:
Great "Fully"
Amazing "Locked" & Hundreth!
I"m still a little disapointed in Gord's new approach to BobCageon and LTR.. just sing the songs the regular way my man! quit screwing around;

Highlights of the Ottawa CD IMO:
Awesome "Grace", ABAC, Courage..
Quite possibly the best live version of "Vapour trails" I have ver heard!
oh Christ, that whole show is great... BUY it! Download it!

Paul's vocals on "Fever" from London are fan-freaking-tastic. The guy is such an integral part of this band, it's basically his song... Gord backs HIM up! :)

Speaking of Paul, I had the fortunate opportunity in Spokane to have his guitar amp blasting in my left ear for most of the show. Just because of where I was standing I could barely hear Robby, but I got a full onslaught of Paul for the entire gig, and one thing you really notice about his guitar playing is how precise and resolute it is. His melody lines in Bobcaygeon are gorgeous, and his chugging riffs in songs like Meridian and Heaven are nothing short of awesome. The dude is easily one of the best rhythm guitarists out there.

Good call!

Paul has always been a favorite of mine, his side by side, fronting and backing vocals are a perfect match for Gord D.

Don't forget, Paul starts off "Bones" as well..

I always kept that in mind when I videotaped the band during the encores...

Just kept a close-up of Paul during the down-time between songs,
he normally chugs a bottle of Harp, puts down his cigarette andd...

(insert opening riff of "bones" here)

He also one of the most unassuming, quiet spoken and appraochable guys I've ever met...

"Wicked cool" as we say in Boston...

More like: "Aye-Kun-Gareunteeeh" :)

I noticed during Boots or Hearts (Where Paul doesn't come in until the end of the first minute) that he patiently walked back to his amp, slowly drank his beer, smiled out at the first row and the calmly walked back up to the mic and started playing... another day at the office.

And I think you're dead-on Casey about his guitar ability being so phenomenol. He often doesn't the attention Bobby gets (What with his hair whipping around and such :) ) but he's so subtle and just "there," reliable ya know... never steals the show, but the show would fall apart without him.

Still hoping for a Paul solo project one day!
