Maybe a stupid question but, I'm kinda new to this bit.torrent file...........how does it work?? Do you need a special program to operate it?

Yes, you need a special program and you'll save yourself a lot of confusion if you read up a bit before you jump right in. Most of your questions will be answered if you start here or some place like it.

There are a variety of BT clients; I suggest Azureus. Typically, you will need to regsiter at each site tracker site you want to download from and you have to understand that Bit Torrents need to be shared or seeded in order to survive. In other words, you must be committed to allowing the torrent file to remain open and active on your PC so others can get the files the same way you did. Most sites will ban you if you make a habit of downloading files and not seeding them, typically until you have a 1:1 ratio. This means that you should keep the seed active on your PC until other people have collectively downloaded the same amount from you as you have from others.

Browse the threads in this forum or do search (forum or internet) until you get the full idea. There are a variety of trackers out there that you can find in this forum or through a Google search.

Have fun, and share your seed! :thumb:

Scott - if you have used both - what makes Azeureus better than Bit Tornado?

Before I snatch this - is this show just the Roxy that alot of people have?
Or since alot of you are so excited - is this something new/different?

I started with Torrent Storm and went to Azureus within the first week. Initially I noticed that more "peers" were using it and that caught my interest. Based on what I read in forums and on client sites, I was convinced that Azureus would probably suit my needs better than any other. I haven't used Bit Tornado; I'm sure it's a fine program but a buddy of mine started with it and soon abandoned it for Azureus as well.

As long as the client functions and you're comfortable with the user-interface, you should use whatever you prefer. I just stopped looking after Azureus because it met my needs & expectations fully, completely.

Plus, that little blue frog is wicked cool!

I believe it's the old Roxy and Elsewhere tape, however I don't remember my copy having the two filler songs from Molson Park in 1990. The download is worth it purely for the version of Baby Please Don't Go (All we are saying, is give MEECH a chance)

Cheers

I use Azureus and it works great. I'm helping to seed the show for about 24 hours.
