Sigh. Three shows in and I've said "I should have gone to this show" twice.

On The Verge flips back and forth with Fire in the Hole as the best closer in the band's catalogue, pretty much every concert I attend when either is played. Probably more so, because it's slightly more rare.
Including tonight, On The Verge has been played 20 times in the last 10 years. Only three times, including tonight, did it not close a set or the entire show. That's the kind of nerd thing that really appeals to me.

Wow- this is the best set list in a couple of year. So Hard Done By, 3 Pistols, Long Time Running, and On the Verge. I now have high hopes for Syracuse. God bless the teleprompter.

I'd say the Hip are officially giving Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen a run for their money in the setlist department. If this stuff keeps up, this tour will be one for the ages. Sadly I won't be able to see any shows on this tour, so I've got my fingers crossed for a live DVD.

I have to say this was one of the best shows I've ever seen. The run of So Hard Done By, Trans, Escape, Morning and Don't Wake Daddy was epic. Then closing out the main set with Three Pistols, Long Time Running, Verge and Goodnight was awesome. I had a huge grin on my face the whole time. Yawning or Snarling, Daredevil...are you serious? And I scored Johnny's set list to top of an amazing night! Can't wait for Syracuse, hoping to hear Greasy Jungle, but I got a pretty good fill of DFN.
Seriously no one can complain about setlists anymore. The only played what I would consider 2 "hits", Courage and Meridian, and they rocked. Meridian was super energetic, the crowd was really into it. Ending the night on Locked was great too, they don't play that song enough.

tonight was epic... all I have to say is that I hope someone recorded so I can listen to it again. the energy and the setlist was just amazing. so much better than watching the election!!
I took video and pics so I'll try to get them up asap.
and I'm also gonna take a bow for sending bonner the setlist as the night went on so you all could see it!

THAT was the show I have been waiting for since the last actual tour a few years ago. Everything about it was great! Amazing set list, great energy, the band was tight and Gord was perfect...not over the top, no high pitched screaming. Just great.
Thank you, Hip, for bringing me back!

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!
