I'm sorry if this sounds smug or if appreciative, as it is quite the opposite. I enjoy listening to recordings of The Tragically Hip almost daily (I may download the new Hamilton show later this week!).
I was just curious if anybody knows what shows have been recorded and what shows are going to be released on The Tracker. I understand that some tapers are a part of almost their own little tapers corner or "club" or whatever it can be called. I also understand that it is every tapers right not to share their recordings if they choose not to. I am just curious if there is a list that says if shows were taped and if they are going to be released or something to that affect.
Keep 'em coming. I love them!
I may actually go listen to my copy of their show in Victoria from this tour now! :music

No. No list, no club, no release schedule.

There are only about 5 guys who regularly tape Hip shows - and the fact that we all know one another does not constitute a club... Although we are unionized.

We tape for our own enjoyment. Tracking, FLACing and torrenting a show is a time consuming process and does not provide any kind of enjoyment for most of us. Editing a DVD is ven more time consuming. If one of us is going to release a show it's done on our own schedule. I've got shows from 2007 that I'm still working on. Living a full life with family and friends takes priority over sharing shows.

And The Hip is not the only band that we record.

If you want a copy of a show, record it yourself. That's the was to ensure you get it. And it's not that expensive to get into it. www.soundprofessionals.com has a deal right now for $300 for a great set of mics and a recorder. With that you're ready to start.
