Hi there,
My question concerns my very first hip experience, the show which eventually became commercially released as 'Live Between Us'. When the Hip decided to release this show I was rather dissapointed with them leaving out some of my favorites from the show. Nine songs were cut, including 4 in the regular set (700 ft, dd, flamenco and an early version of eiahfttm) and the entire 2 set encore (thugs, everytime, fire, locked and bones). I was wondering if a bootleg exists which includes these nine songs.
Second, the same thing happened with the release of GD's solo concert which I attended during the Bluesfest in Ottawa (July 6, 2003). The commercial release does not include 11th fret and Chancelor. Any help/clues?
Thanks,
Jay.

Hi & welcome to the hipbase!
A bootleg exists of the Cobo Hall performance which was recorded for Live Between Us. The tracklist is found at: http://www.killerwhaletank.com/rory/112396.htm
I have a dvd of Gord Downie playing Ottawa in '03, but the date is July 3, 2003. Not sure if I've made a mistake in my records, or maybe Gord played multiple shows.
I'll double check the dvd.

Hey, thanks alot. I would love to somehow get a hold of either of these shows if possible. Unfortunately anything I have to trade is either in Canada or you already have...
The Bluesfest started the 4th of July, so I assume the date of the GD show should be the 6th, unless he played two shows...

Register up at the The Hip Tracker. Hopefully someone can post them on there, and you can get them that way.EPenguin10 wrote:Hey, thanks alot. I would love to somehow get a hold of either of these shows if possible. Unfortunately anything I have to trade is either in Canada or you already have...
