I have 5 or 6 OINK invites, and I'd like to offer them to all of the fine folks here who share so much great HIP music with us. If interested, please PM me. I only posted this in this thread since OINK is a downloading and sharing site.

I'm on oink man.

Btw anyone who uses the oink fourm, help me defend the hip on this post. I'm sick of them being blasted.

As much fun as Oink can be... I don't think posting on a fan forum a suggestion that people illegally download an album instead of buying it is a good idea...

Your right. I like to think the hip is jsut one of those bands that you always just buy the album. Just because they rely so much on canada's sales. So you feel obliged to support them.

However, still In view is yet to appear in downloadable form or for sale and it would be nice to have it as an mp3. Till its availble on itunes I see no other way to get it.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

I also fully (and completely ;)) support buying all of their CDs, and own them all. I mainly just want to check out oink as I've heard good things about it.

Are you kidding? I think every album is torrented, in multiple formats. Like it or not, the Hip are out there for the downloading, and it's not limited to Oink's either.

Billy...to be honest, I haven't checked for TTH content since I first joined, just cause I already own everything they've ever put out, and I always buy their stuff rather than download it, 'cept for the freely traded boots I get from the Hip Tracker. Yes, almost every single album EVER released is available at lots of different web sites, and that has its pros and cons. I'm not attempting to promote the ripping off of artists, I just primarily troll these types of sites for the hard to find stuff...b sides, live bootlegs, out of print stuff, etc...

No worries...you don't need to explain anything to me. I've been a member of various torrent sites for a few years now and I feel no guilt over it. I still buy albums and concert tickets for bands/artists I like, albeit less frequently now that I have a child.

I was only pointing out that Oink's is loaded with Hip stuff contrary to your post.

Anyone have an invite they can throw my way?
I seem to have misplaced my login information.
Thanx.

I've got five...three...two...no invites up for grabs, sorry.

Good luck not getting banned, newbies!
