OK friends... the transfer is underway. The website is now on my server, and it's ready for action. I'll post the new FTP details here, and on the site when I get it set up. Until I receive the drive from Jerremy, I'll throw up a couple of shows from my archive for testing purposes.

Jerremy, you started it all for me. 75% of my collection is from that "ole" ftp site. Thanks so much for providing such a great service and thanks to Chris for keeping it alive!

Thanks man, for all your hard work at keeping that running. Most of my early bootleg collection came from there, before I started getting into torrents. Thank you. And good luck, Chris, on running it in the future.

Is the FTP up yet? If it is, I think I totally forgot the login. Is it still hip/hip?

Thanks again all for the kind words.

...And thanks to Chris for keeping the site alive. As he mentioned, the website is already up. I'll be sending out the content early next week.

I'm very glad that the site will continue on.

As I mentioned to Chris, I hate doing things half-assed. I would frequently have the site down, or have to turn it off (disconnecting all the downloaders) to do work. I also did not have the time to keep it updated with all the latest shows.

But now, it is going to a great place and it will be watched over by a guy who just keeps giving his time and efforts to the Hip community.

So thanks to Chris for keeping THM.com alive.

Jerremy, I just wanted to add in my words of gratitude for your efforts over these past years in spreading the shows through thehundredthmeridian. It was the starting point for me to build my Tragically Hip concert collection.

Thank you :thumb:

I've got most of the technical side of the site set up; I just need some kind fans to log in and see what happens:

Address: ftp.thehundredthmeridian.com
Username: hipfan
Password: thmuser

There's only one show there right now... but more will be added.

If there is a lot of traffic, and people are really happy with the service I will look into the costs of keeping this set-up permanent.

Chris, I don't seem to be able to log-on. Connection error with ftp client, and Site Temporarily Unavailable message with browser. Could be that max people are connected, if set up like Jerremy had it.

edit: I'm on it now Chris.....thanks for keeping it going!

I get an error when I try to loggin, but maybe its just because all the ports are taken up, perhaps?

OK folks, download at will today: ftp://hipfan:[email protected]

There are only a few of shows right now... once I receive the drive from Jerremy I'll get most of them online right away.

I'm going to focus on MP3 only with the FTP site, and FLACs/SHNs/etc through the tracker.

How are the speeds?

I'm screwing around with the permissions right now, so don't be alarmed if suddenly you get an error saying you're not allowed to do whatever you are doing.
