"If You Lived Here"

West of here then yesterday
She's kicking up some dust
Patience aint a virtue babe
Patience is a must

A record of curt love letters
Find the writers words
She's dares me on the telephone
She says come on baby, who'll flare up first

If you lived here you'd be home by now
Anyhow, anyway
If you lived here you'd be home by now
Any day

Well I'm never where my heart is
Even when I'm home
Well not so much for the rambling
What is the being alone

I'd light up for anything
I'd light up all day
When I get my mind made up for me
If the sky's in front of me, get out of my way

If you lived here you'd be home by now
Anyhow, anyway
If you lived here you'd be home by now
Any day

If all or some of my indecision
If that's what I felt
Put it in a corner stored with lies and guilt
I may remember my living in pain
Well the road's the (?) some wondering

What you think you're going do
Where else you going go
I may not be the man you want
But I'm the only man you know

Well she gathered up all her jack-o-lanterns
She took em on out to the woods
She kicked in all the carved out faces of our little neighbourhood

If you lived here you'd be home by now
Anyhow, anyway
If you lived here you'd be home by now
Anytime any day

Here's my take on it, changes are bolded, and the sections I'm not sure about are italicized.

"If You Lived Here"

West of here and yesterday,
she's kicking up some dust.
Patience ain't a virtue baby,
patience is a must

A record of curt love letters,
find her at her worst
She's dares me on the telephone;
She says, "Come on baby, who'll flare up first?"

If you lived here you'd be home by now
Anyhow, anyway
If you lived here you'd be home by now
Any day

Well I'm never where my heart is,
even when I'm home
Well not so much for the ramblin',
what is the being alone

I'd line up for anything,
Yea I'd line up all day
Well I get my mind made up for me,
If this guy in front of me'd, get out of my way

If you lived here you'd be home by now
Anyhow, anyway
If you lived here you'd be home by now
Any day

If I were to sum up all my indecision,
that's what I'd build

Put it in a corner store with lives and guilt
I may remember my living in pain
Well the road's you got to stop wandering heyyyy

What you think you're gonna do?
Where else you gonna go?

I may not be the man you want,
but I'm the only man you know

Well she gathered up all her jack-o-lanterns,
she took 'em on out to the woods
She kicked in all the carved out faces of our little neighbourhood

If you lived here you'd be home by now
Anyhow, anyway
If you lived here you'd be home by now
Anytime, any day

Finally after years of dialup I can finally get a broadband connection and join in with this sort of thing.

I usually have to wait hours for a song to dl before the connection sparks out 3 seconds before the finish.
Damn our slow uptake on technology, now I must go and set the betamax for MASH, the new series is starting & I don't want to miss it...

What you think you're gonna do?
Where else you gonna go?

Yeah. Thanks, I hadn't caught that. I hate how friggin Front Page changes words without prompting. Gonna or gonna becomes "going" without me even knowing. Sons a bitches.

Proof reading's for pussies.
