making an audio cd from a dvd

Can any one tell me how (if possible) to make an audio cd of a music dvd using a dvd player and only a cd burner in my computer.

I tried the search function but came up empty.

Funny, I did a search and it was the first thing that popped up, but it was my thread so it wasn't hard to find.. :D

You're welcome! Dont sweat the search, it can be a little sketchy sometimes, and there's been so many threads here that things can get buried and hard to find sometimes.

For some reason it still doesn't work. Thanks for the effort though!
Can you still help me out though? Do I need a special program, or can iTunes rip audio for me? I tried downloading a program simply called DVD Audio Ripper, but it only rips one track for free, then you need to pay for iit.

Copy and paste this--> dvd and audio and ripping? In the search box and it should come up as the 3rd on the list (it did for me) and me as the author, that should work.

Awesome, thanks for the search idea haha :oops: And Chris, doing what you suggested would have been just as easy, but you got me a bit late. So now for my next question: Is any of the software listed available in the price range of, hmm i dunno... free? :oops:

Thank You! God, I find this everywhere I go. The friggin search feature is pretty much useless for me. I never find what I want. It takes forever to sort through all kinds of crap and I still come up with nothing and have to ask the question anyway. But the friggin' search-police are always lurking everywhere just WAITING to pounce. If the people actually went to the effort to just help answer people's questions like you did, then the board would be functioning as intended. Sometimes it is way faster to just ask and to just answer the question, instead of wasting time and bandwidth looking all over the place or telling people they should search. I think some of these people deliberately withhold answers just to be dicks.
The stupid part is, if you DO find what you are looking for and do make a post, you still get crap for dredging up such an old post.

/end rant. sorry for that.

well said kelman.....i agree wholeheartedly.....a discussion board should provide a "forum" for discussion, not be an elitist meeting post where topics may only be discussed once, and can never resurface again.... although multiple posts on the same topic are pretty annoying (see the ten club boards for a perfect example of that), the search button isn't always perfect, and doesn't always deliver the answers you need! luckily, Chris is cool enough to just link the "correct" thread rather than be a dick, so it's all good!

Thanks to this thread and the links, I gave #1 DVD Audio Ripper a try and it works great. You are limited to 5 minute .wavs with the unregistered version.
I successfully upgraded my Camp Trillium (which was .mp3 from hundredth merid.) with a DVD rip from the show posted on the tracker. Way better sound, including rear channels!
Plus its more seamless and a bit more crowd. Way fuller experience.
Too bad for the other new little glitch in Poets where the sound sorta cuts out for a second. Dang.
