Hip Tracker : What to do now?

As music fans, I'm sure that many of us have bootlegs that are non-Hip that we would be glad to share. With that in mind, coupled with the fact that there aren't any new Hip shows to torrent (because they aren't touring), how about we open the tracker up to some other artists? This will be a short term plan, but it will continue to spread the music, and get everyone up-to-speed (pun intended) on how to use Bit Torrent.

Please let me know your thoughts on this...

I think it's a good idea, although there is still so much more past material that hopefully will be shared..... :jump

I like the idea but how will we decide what is ok to post? some bands have a don't ask don't tell policy or they just look the other way on the subject

or will we just post bands that are openly 100% taper friendly

I think we'll try our best to stick with bands that are taper friendly. And when in doubt, ask.

And Ron... That would be a great show to torrent; but you only sent me one song.

It's a great idea, Chris. It might be easier to keep track of what's what if the non-Hip torrents have a designated prefix; something like NHC (no Hip content) or even NH (non-Hip).

Just a thought.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the GD & The Country of Miracles show posted when I checked the tracker tonight, and am looking forward to seeing more. Gord's solo shows (DVD or first tour only of course) and some more Hip material from the vaults would be nice during their break.

As for other artists, it sounds like a great idea...
I'm always looking for new music and Hipbase members tend to have excellent taste!

I like the idea of NON-HIP related boots! It's another way to help spread your recordings, or favourit bootlegs!

Wrong thread.

And the answer is, "It'll be done when it's done."
