Buffalo 12-20-2000 bootleg (problem)

I just downloaded the Buffalo bootleg from Dec 20, 2000 from the Hundreth meridian. I used AceFTP to download the shn version. when I converted to wav using Shorten and played them, many of the songs had problems. Speakers cut out at certain points, some one at a time, others both for extended periods. Some songs had long, loud piercing screetches during them. Needless to say this completely ruined the show.

My question is, does anyone else have this show? Is this how it is posted on the 100th Meridian? or is it a result of a downloading error (from the FTP program) or from a conversion error with the Shorten program. The latter I dont believe, because I took the shn files and converted them again and had the exact same issues, which leads me to believe the shns are corrupt.

Hi,

Looks like there were problems with some of the tracks.

I have the show on CD, so I encoded it to FLAC and replaced it on the server.

If anyone finds any problems with any of the shows that they download, please post or email me so I can check them. I hate to see people waste all that time downloading... and with all the shows on the server - I can't check and listen to them all.

I've also spent some time this weekend cleaning up the folders, labels and dates for items on the server.

So please do drop me a line if you see (or hear) something not right with something you downloaded.

Thanks,

Jerremy

I also had problems converting the 1992 Fully Completely Radio Premiere show, and the 1996 Kobo Hall, Detroit show. Most of the tracks did convert, but a few for each show wouldn't. Unfortunately I've long since deleted those shows, so I can't remember which tracks converted and which ones didn't.

just so you know, there is no need to convert them to WAV if you are just going to listen to them on your computer. you can get a winamp plugin called SHNamp that will play the shn's for you.

you only need to convert them to WAV if you are planning on burning the show to cd in audio format

Hi guys,

Thanks for the info.

The '96 Calgary show and the '92 Fully radio show do have damaged files - and I do not have them on CD. I will label them to alert users.

(edit) srb - I did not see a '96 kobo show on the server... Is the one you are thinking about from a different year or arena?

If anyone has these shows, please send them over so they can be replaced... FLAC if you can - seems to be less problems w/FLAC.

Thanks all,

Jerremy

I may have gotten the date wrong on the Kobo show. I'm guessing from memory, but I'm sure there was a Kobo Hall show on the server. Maybe 98/99. I'm sorry I can't remember the date exactly as I deleted the show a while back after downloading. I am quite certain that it was from your server though.....

Also if anyone who has the 1992 Fully Completely Radio Premiere could upload the corrected tracks, it would be most appreciated..

Cheers! :thumb:

Try using dbpoweramp. I used it to convert Cleveland 8-17-96 and it worked great. You can get it in a Google search.
