I put iTunes on random this evening, and this song played. Have others heard of this one? Way funnier than the one we all know and love - Robby is Gord's partner in cleaning the tank.

Chris, could you share this one on Hundreth please? I'd love to hear it when you have the time :thumb:

That was my recording from way, way back. The very first time I saw the Hip in fact. Unfortunately the mp3s posted on thehundredthmeridian ftp site must have come from a high-generation copy of the original cassette. I've since done a digital transfer from the master cassette recording to my computer (using some advice from Bauer), and the difference is amazing...
I'll upload the flac files I made from the master to thehundredthmeridian sometime this week. The version of Montreal remains my favourite, and the killer whale tank version is great! :D

Wanna try to post it to the All New, All Hip tracker?

Thanks!

I would love to try it, but I'll need help...never posted a torrent before. If you can pm me with instructions, and I'll give it a go this week!

Does anyone know when the (original?) killerwhaletank, the one on my site, took place? I need location and date. I never got around to asking and didn't want to get flamed or something for not knowing. lol. I'm pretty sure it's Roxy... maybe 91? I don't know if there's more versions than the two mentioned in this thread but I have the lyrics and, if it's kosher with a copy somebody has, maybe they could hook me up with the info?

Killerwhaletank lyrics

Plus, I'd like to get my hands on the alternate if it makes it to the ftp... :)

I've uploaded the flac files I made from the original master tape to thehundredthmerdian ftp site. This version should replace the old version in a lot of people's collection.

I've pm'd Jerremy to let him know that I've finished uploading, so give him some time to move the show from the upload -> download folder. He says he'll move it this evening.

I'd still be interested in releasing the show on the new Hip tracker, but I'm a little in the dark about how to seed a Torrent. Any help would be appreciated.

Enjoy! :thumb:
