Can anyone access the message board for www.sharingthegroove.org ? I get the following message when I go to the site:

Update: 08.03.2004 -- As a result of all the work we have been doing behind the scenes, we have decided to upgrade the servers once again. You will now see a huge preformace difference as well as new features. The site will start becoming live around 7pm EST, or as soon as your DNS progragtes.

The site was supposed to be back up 2 days ago, but I can't access it at home or at work.

Yup, it's stil down. I was wondering the same thing because it says the site would be up "as soon as your DNS progragtes (???)" and I have no idea what that meant. I thought maybe I was the only one who couldn't access the site because my DNS hadn't progragted (???)

try http://torrent.sharingthegroove.org

dns stands for domain name system. it is what resolves domain names into ip addresses and vice versa. i believe "progragtes" was meant to be "propogates". by which they mean for the new torrent.sharingthegroove.org
to propogate throughout the internet dns servers.

that's weird...I can access the torrents page but I still get the same error on the main page. Go figure.

OK I need somebody more tech-literate than myself to splain sumthin...

How come I can access the lists of torrents, and open individual ones, but when I click the link to download it takes me back to the error page? Apparently the board has been up nearly 48 hours and if I am STILL unable to download anything, how long might I reasonably expect to put up with this?

Is anybody else unable to download torrents? If yes, I will feel a lot more patient...

It's still out of commission for me.

They previous message said that it would be online last weekend, and it wasn't. I imagine that they are still working on it, and have forgotten to update the message.

Actually, I can now download torrents. Got my first one yesterday. Just use this link to bypass the error message:

http://torrent.sharingthegroove.org

It sucks, though...in the past four days only a few torrents have been posted. Apparently 99% of seeders haven't found their way in. So if you REALLY can't get in, not even by using that link, never fear...nothing's happening in there.

I cannot access any of the STG pages. I don't even get the error message, it just tells me "Timed out trying to connect to sharingthegroove.org"

Is anybody else having this problem or can you guys get in and download??

It looks like the "Video" section of the message boards at STG is gone (judging by the couple times that I managed to get onto the site.) I hope that this isn't permanent because I just recently bought a DVD burner and would like to build up a collection of live DVDs.

Does anyone have the link for the new tracker. I couldn't find it on the site when I did get on there, and now I can't get onto the message board again. tracker.sharingthegroove.org just takes me to the www.sharethegroove.org page.
