For those of us taping July 1, I think we should meet up and make a dedicated effort to get in, and then share our recordings for a multiple angle DVD.
The tickets say "NO RECORDERS/VIDEO/AUDIO" right on them, so I anticipate a hassle getting in. Anyone have any advice, or thoughts on how to make sure we get our gear in OK?

for video cameras i know a good way

you gotta find a girl though who has a bag and can put lots of stuff in there purse or bag depending on size of camera you can put the camera in a tampon box hahaha and then put a sweater in the bag beside the box make sure the box is visable as soon as you open the bag. i ddi that for edgefest and no problems at all well 1 my battery died lol no problems with security and dont be the first people through the gate you gotta go when they have checked 7000 people or more cuz most security will get lazy and not give a f**k no more and if possible have the girl with your shit go in a line with a guy checking the box will freak him out (i not 100% on that but if i was security and saw that i would quickly close it and say enjoy the show i guess thats a good way or put in in the croch of your pants or shorts\
hope that helps
btw im sitting sec 203 row O on the right sideill hope fully have some nice zoom shots
i use a JVC GR-DVM55U i record in SP so 60 per tape and i extract in HQ 60 mins per DVD for best quality
a mix from all cameras will be awesome i m IN

You may try writing a letter to the Amp and explain your situation. I did that for the Hummingbird, told them that the HIp were fine with recordings and what not. They sent me an email from the manager okaying it. I brought that email to the show and had no problems at all.
Good luck!!!

I'd love to help out with the editing/blending and menu's of the multiple angle video footage..... unless there is a professional with us here?
I'm still learning but also have a friend who is a sound engineer who could assist with editing/marrying up of the video footage and the best audio recording of the show....
I will be making a DVD Packge for it also...and I'm sure there will be a couple made.
