I always get confused about dvd's; is it audio and video of the shows in question or just audio and what's the quality difference between cd and dvd??

I think folks are looking for audio & video on a DVD, like you would buy in a store, which is what these are. I believe the audio is the actual WAV files converted to AC3, a specific format for burning to DVD. I don't think there is any loss is quality (i.e. compression).
Bauer: I have the Calgary & Regina DVD's you shot and they're great

I hope you like the BC shows I shot

That Victoria show was the second of two shows and one of the best setlists of the Canadian theatre tour. Definitely one of the top 5 Hip shows I've ever attended !
Audio Quality of Hip DVDs

Can anyone who has any of the Hip DVDs from pre-2002 (the ones that were transfered from vhs) comment on the audio quality. I find the audio on the vhs transfers extremely poor (with a annoying amount of hiss) - so bad in fact that those shows are almost unlistenable. Most of the 2003 shows are quite good - I think they were all master tapes with no vhs lineage?
Aside from all the DVDs that Peter Padjen put together - are there any other Hip DVDs that were created from someone else?
Thanks for your help

I am slowly rating all of my DVD's and will post a full review when complete.

It really isn't that difficult.
What do you do to get anything in this world?
Ask nicely.
Trades and
B&P's are an easy, and legal way to get bootlegs.
DO NOT BUY THEM FROM ANYONE VIA eBAY OR OTHERWISE!
Or perhaps you mean a DVD that someone considers to be hip. I think that the
Foo Fighter's "Everywhere But Home" is a pretty hip DVD; especially so because I was at the show they filmed.
Please disregard any snarkiness in my post; I am still hunting for a key on my keyboard that helps imply sarcasm.

I want to place a Bit Torrent of the Edgefest 2003 DVD on "SharingTheGroove.org" unless anyone has an objection.
Additionally, does anyone have source info for the DVD that is circulating?
