Grooveless asked me too check my old copy of ARA 1993 landsDowne Park to see if it was the original quality recording....AND IT WAS....
It would seem someone converted the show along time ago and made low quality files.
My shoiw though in Mp3 form is 192 not 96 or whatever the shitty copy was turned into and sound crystal clear no watery compressed KRAP

If you want a copy of the show ask grooveless for a trade!!!!!

Yeppers...I now have 1993-07-26 Lansdowne, Ottawa in a bright shinin' high resolution package. If any of you (like me) have always wanted to hear this kick ass show without the ripply, watery background crap, PM me! Lance, I know a while ago you posted in my thread about this show's quality, so if you're interested in it let me know!

Any way this show could be SHN'd and posted in THM FTP? I too have a lousy mp3-sourced copy and I love the show itself - on of the ARA greats!

if someone does proper shn's for it, i can turn on my ftp server and host it for a little bit.

bit torrent might be a good idea as well.

I was setting up trades with some people but they all backed out or just stopped replying to me. I have no idea why, but only 1 person bothered to follow through. Someone could have seeded it by now if any of my potential trade partners had cared enough to make the deal.

You are the one I was referring to, but I didn't want to name you in case people started flooding you with demands for seeding.

I don't know how this ARA can sound worse than the one you've already got...it's not half as warbly or watery as the commonly circulating copy. This one came from a guy who'd been sitting on it for many years, as opposed to the widely circulated version which could have been MP3'd, burned, ripped, FTP'd countless times.

I hoped to get a couple trades out of this, but I guess people got cheap or lazy and just wanted to wait for someone else to get it and seed it to save them the trouble. Who knows.

Unplucked Gems is the best track to compare. When I played my old version on my stereo and immediately followed it up with the new one, I was blown away. It still sounds not entirely "perfect", but I would say 75% of the warble is GONE. I wouldn't dupe people into trading for something that wasn't noticeably different.

I may have mis-spoke when I said it soundz better,I meant to say they sound pretty much the same,if there's a difference, its minimal,I can't notice it. but we all have different setz of earz.I didn't think you duped me into a raw deal, your feeling is that your copy is superior in sound, but i'm not pissed off at our deal,it was my decision to make for better or for worst.and after more earfulz I say no huge difference, but hey mine may be a virgin copy becuase I've had it for a coons-age as well. Hey Kimo-Kinka

p.s.I did notice at the begginning of 100th there is a sorta cut, very short, like the track was split there. My copy is seamless there.
