A question for Tapers/Traders/Bootleg fans...

I was just wondering (purely out of curiosity) about other people's Hip bootleg collections.

So, what was the first gig that you traded (either by B&P or Torrent - or both if you've been at it a while), what's your favourite bootleg you have and (where applicable) what was the first show you taped for yourself?

First Torrent: Phantom Acoustics
Favourite bootleg: Shepherds Bush Empire, London (07th July 06: DVD and Audio - purely for the memories) or The Pheonix Theatre, Toronto (26th October 2006)
I am yet to tape any Hip shows, but hopefully that will change.

It seems that there is such a massive amount of shows out there - I'd like to hear some opinions. :thumb:

my first bootleg was glastonbury & elsewhere and Roxy and Elsewhere, as I bought them at a local cd store...the first ones I got from an online source was likely the hip @ ACC in toronto, dec. 3 2000, though I don't really remember for sure. My favourite bootleg??? hmm....ARA '95 Markham Ont (my first real hip show), High Sierra '95 (Just an awesome show), or any of the great sounding boots from 2000 with Kate Fenner....totally depends on the day I guess....

In a B&P with Dana, my first three boots were the following:

1991-08-03 - Toronto, Ontario
1999-01-29 - Saint John, New Brunswick
2000-08-02 - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

I really can't remember what my first online download was.

Favourite bootleg: Changes regularly... probably Utrecht DVD.

Wasaga Beach was the first show I taped, I think...

I'm still learning how to upload and download online, but I just got Oshawa (01/21/07) which sounds amazing by the way. :thumb:, and Toronto (02/08/07). And currently someone is downloading these shows off of me.

I've come across the odd song here and there over the years tho'.

So I am still pretty much a newbie at the whole trading thing, but it certainly is nice to get a reminder of the show I was at. That's probably all I'll ever collect - just the shows I've been to.

My first Hip bootleg was one that I recorded myself, at my first Hip concert (1991-08-03) at the Ontario Place Forum.

I think that was also my first torrent upload, on the very first incarnation of the tracker.
