Hello Hip fans,
I have been reading your posts now for a few years, and have finally decided to join. I have been a Hip fan since Up to Here. I can't remember if the first time I saw them in concert was in the gymnasium at McGill University , or the football feild at Queens University. (Yes I'm old) I was hooked very early on. Now married, 2 kids later, my husband, myself and the teenage to twenty-something nieces and nephews are accompanying us on road trips to see The Boys. I couldn't tell you how many concerts I've experienced. I guess 16 years ago, I didn't think I would still be partaking.
We we're lucky enough to get tickets to The Hour, and in Montreal this week, will round out my 4th concert since the summer.
Glad to be onboard.

What's up all. Hip fan since I stumbled into them at Another Road Side Attraction at the University of BC. Ran into this site just recently as I was looking for info on the new album and tour. Great work by everybody who keeps this site up and running. Fired right up currrently as I will be seeing my 6th Hip show tonight at The Commodore in Vancouver. Can't get enough of saying "The Hip at The Commodore." Saweet!!

Now announcing the arrival of:

BOB THE CRITIC!!!

Yes, this is bob the critic and I am new to the Hipbase...believe it or not, I actually got one of the shirts before I even became registered on here...go figure. Anyhoo, just saw my first Hip show...yes, I was a virgin but no longer. I have to say that the boys put on a heck of show. The Commodore Ballroom totally rocked but more about that stuff later...this is supposed to be an intro...blah blah blah. Peace.

Actually, he was really lucky. He got to see both the 3rd & 4th Vancouver show. I had so much fun watching him watch the guys...especially Gord with the microphone stand. Good times I tell ya. LOL, I vaguely remember mentioning him being a virgin and Jenna saying something about sacrificing him?!! Jenna, any thoughts now?

Welcome Mr, !

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone...except I'm a little iffy about the whole sacrificing the virgin thing. Uhhh, if there's anyway possible for me to get out of that part of the induction into the world of The Tragically Hip I would gladly opt out...but thanks for the thought. Anyhoo, Sarah...after reading stuff from Coke Machine Glow I have a newly found appreciation for the lyrics...I know what you mean now. It brings that much more to the music. Love ya. :thumb:

Hello All,

First post, wanted to say hey. Taking my wife and four kids to see the concert at Rexall Place Jan 14. Kids are age 8 to 15. It will be my and of course the rest of crews first Hip concert.

15 hour drive from our home in the NWT down to Edmonton and then 3 days of skiing at Jasper after the show.

Cheers

I only wish my parents would have taken me to see amazing concerts when I was younger! They're lucky to have you! Have such a great time!

Thanks for saying that about the kids. We're not down in the pit or anything. We're 26 rows back on the side. Figured it would be fun to do as a family. We all listen to the music on road trips and our our way to play hockey. Five of the six of us play.
