So, theory. The album was originally called Dougie Stardust. When Bowie died just a few months ago, they changed the name to Man Machine Poem.

In an interview today, Gord's oncologist said that his suits for this tour were made before his diagnosis. I wonder if the sparkly and colourful suits are themselves a tribute to Ziggy Stardust. And their appearance here is a carryover from the album's original title.

With absolutely no anecdotal evidence, I absolutely believe the album was supposed to be called Dougie Stardust until David's passing and things were re-written on the fly.
