Hey there, I only discovered this website on Thursday two days before the Saturday Fort York concert. Just amazing.
I go by SooGuy (originally being from Sault Ste. Marie, ON), name's Andy, 38 years old and been a fan of the hip since discovering them at university back in the late 1980s. I think my first show was at the Ontario Place forum back in 1989 or 1990 (Anyone else remember the rotating stage?).
I've been to almost a dozen shows over the years, although the older I get the fewer shows I seem to have the time or money to attend. Last night's show at Fort York changed that though. I may not be able to travel far and wide to see them, but I will definitely make more of an effort to catch them when they play Southern Ontario.
Having discovered this board, I obviously don't have the excuse that I won't know anyone at the show.

I remember the rotating stage. I saw a few concerts at the old Ontario Place forum. Blue Rodeo was the best one I saw there...then Sarah McLachlan during my high school, boys suck days!
I'm fairly new to this forum too, but I did see two guys in Hip Base shirts last night. I was too shy to say hello though.

I'll have my shirt for the Stratford show.

Feel free to say hello to anyone wearing the Hipbase shirt - part of the reason we wear them to shows is to stand out so people will come up and say hello. It's a great ice-breaker.

Great point Matt! I noticed a lot of people on Friday and Saturday who would point and then talk amongst themselves as if they wanted to come over and say hi, but didn't. Please do!

If you see a hipbase shirt on a guy with this mug:

and don't say hi, Sean will be mad.
If you can't take a hint... I'm the guy in this picture, and I'm not shy. So say hi. Or
else
Edit: I won't have redeye when I meet you.

Hi, I'm John from Newmarket, Ontario, and currently living in Surrey, BC. My username comes from a song by another great Ontario band, Rush. I have yet to see The Hip live, and I'm still missing a lot of their discography.
Happy Canada Day!

Hi. I'm Laura and I live in Milwaukee, WI. I'm a high school English teacher and have been a huge fan of The Tragically Hip since college. Saw my first Hip concert at a bar in Iowa in 1993. . .a few weeks after I turned 21. Going to see them at Summerfest tonight and the House of Blues tomorrow!

Hi Everyone! I'm Amanda from the great city of Kingston (I mean it would have to be great to produce The Hip!) and I've been a fan for a while now, but recently becoming a hardcore fan.
I'm just waiting for them to come home and preform a concert so I can finally see them for the first time (last time they came here.. I was out of town

)

Hello everyone!
I'm Ben, I'm 23 and live in the UK. I've been a fan of The Hip for about two years now, after a Canadian friend of mine introduced me to them. Absolutely fantastic band! I have been listening to the 'Yer Favourites' album alot recently, in preparation for seeing them in London on Friday (my first Hip gig!

- Very excited.)
I am also into a lot of other bands, and real mix of genre's including Manic Street Preachers (I also run a MSP fansite/forum -
www.foreverdelayed.org.uk ), Oasis, Our Lady Peace, Tool, Jurassic 5, The Flaming Lips, Pearl Jam - and many others.
Erm... Aside from all that, I am attempting to set myself up as an Illustrator/Designer, after doing a dregree in Illustration at uni.
I think that's about it from me: Any questions? I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

Me too!

to the board. Hopefully this means that we will have another
member who pays attention to the merits of the proper usage of the English language.

Either way, enjoy the board!
