The ratio rules are one reason why I like Soulseek; there are none there to speak of, but people are free to ban users who don't share files, which is what I do when somebody tries to download something and they have no files to share. However, does anybody know of a program that will automatically scan for filesharing if you are away from the computer?

I've heard of bitTorrent clients that will do this, but they have been banned by many trackers. I think the reason for the ban is because most trackers have their own leech/seed policies, and don't like giving that decision to the client. May be totally wrong on the decision, but I personally agree with the concept.

EDIT: please don't ask me for an invite if you've already had an account on OINK and lost it for whatever reason. i'll lose all my invite privleges, and i don't want that!

Your best bet is to jump on new torrents early, and to stick with it long after you've finished downloading.

Uploading new stuff will help too of course.

anyone have any invites left? i have never had an account, and if it helps any i keep my ratio at the hip tracker at about 1.1 - 1.25 :)
