I'm screwing around with the permissions right now, so don't be alarmed if suddenly you get an error saying you're not allowed to do whatever you are doing.
AMAZING speeds. I'm getting close to 400kb/s sometimes.

I just tried 1 song just to see, and it took less than 30 seconds....

Sweet! I can host about 15Gb like this right now, but in order to maintain these kinds of speeds, I may have to solicit donations to cover the hosting costs. I'll put up a button on the website that will allow interested users to donate directly to the hosting bill - your donation will go directly to my host and be credited towards my account. This is completely separate from the tracker; the only connection is that I run both of them.

is the limit still gonna be 5 users at a time?

Ummm... sort of. In reality there isn't a limit to the number of users, but I am trying to cap the number of users and their time connected.

Since the speeds are so fast, and it's only going to be MP3s, there shouldn't be any reason for a user to stay connected for extended periods of time.

I downloaded 80mb in less than 3 minutes this morning; that was the complete show "1991-08-29 - Kingston, ON"

So I figure that once newbies and completists get their fix, the site should be very accessible at all times.

Hi all,

According to UPS, it looks like the HD and DVDs of content made it through customs - and they are out for delivery. You should see it today Chris.

Hey everyone...

Since I'm a bit dumb when it comes to creating torrents of the shows in my possession, I've decided to upload at least one show a day from my collection, to the FTP, starting today with 07/30/97 Darien Lake. I'll try to upload shows that aren't in heavy circulation first.

Cheers!

Chris, now that you are taking over, are you going to put some other bands on the site like the Tracker does or are you staying w/just the Hip. Just wondering.

The FTP is only Hip, and will remain that way. Thanks for checking.

Does anybody happen to have a track list for Discs 6 and 7 of Let's Gather Round The Fan? The tags don't have the names, and there's no picture with them like on the others.

Hey guys, I'm just now finding out the ftp site news.

Jeremy, my hats off to you for doing such a bang up job for so many years. I have taken many, many shows off the site and am very grateful for the service you provided.

Chris, once again I am blown away by your effort and determination. Thanks man!
