markslog made me laugh when he wrote:

Nice one, Mark!

Scooby, don't sweat it. We'll get it sorted out, and reseeded, and everyone will be thrilled with the new DVD.

Aside from a few coasters, nothing was lost in this adventure... :thumb:

As a complete noob to the dvd concert burning stuff...

Do I add my own audio track? The eventual download I left going at my Dad's seemingly wound up with only video and menu files. I did buy the concert from lviedownloads so I wonder if I add the audio cut or if something didn't finish up with my download.
Otherwise the dvd works flawlessly with copytodvd burn only my audio folder is good and empty.

Thanks
ex

the audio will be embedded within the video files. you shouldn't have to add anything.

I just took the tracker offline for other users. Open torrents should still continue to function as usual.

Let me know if the new test works out, and I'll put the tracker back online.

Rather than have the tracker offline for a day or so, I've put it back online.

The new Ottawa torrent is there but it's not ready to be downloaded.

In the interim, delete the original Ottawa torrent and associated files. and once this new one is tested, I'll re-add the torrent file.

Actually as it turns out I was the victim of an old dvd player that maybe had problems with certain encoding I guess (My dad's) I brought the dvd home and all sounded fine, mind you I ran into choppiness and playback issues in the latter half of the concert much like, from what it seems, several others did.

I'll download the new one and take another run at it.

Thx

There is a virus on Scooby's computer... we're working through it and should have something posted by Thursday.

Has anybody been able to burn the new Ottawa DVD? The message was "Invalid field in parameter". I haven't opened any of the files yet to play on my computer for fear that they may be infected with whatever virus Scooby had.

I was able to watch the new DVD fully and completely without any of the errors I had in the past. As well, Scott (aka "srb") was able to burn it.

As I understand it. one of the strengths of Bit Torrent is that viruses can't attach themselves to files being torrented - because they change the file structure, which results in the BT Tracker & client software blocking the transfer of those files.

Unless the orignal files that the torrent was made from were infected, everyone should be fine.

Chris is correct...no problems burning this new incarnation of the Ottawa DVD...and nothing out of the ordinary with my computer either...should burn fine :thumb:
