While we do record every show, only a select few are chosen to "multitrack", which is what we've been releasing.
There are dozens of shows in the vault, just sitting there. Give it time. I'm not sure what if anything we'll release, but know that it can always happen!!
I don't mean to be cryptic, but that's the best I can say. We chose London and Ottawa for minor logistical reasons. Nothing specific.

So I paid for the London show, but when I go to download it, each file is only 1 kb in size...obviously not correct. Anyone else experience this and how did you overcome it?
I emailed customer service, but dammit, I wanted that show tonight.

One word - PHILADELPHIA. Awesome show, great setlist.
I think NYE in The Hammer should be considered, since it will be Party Central. If/when you talk to Gord S., ask him for some songs that weren't played on vols. 1-3. I wish I could be there.

Word on the street is that the Calgary show was unbelievable. I think you should release that one next. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see the show and it would be great to hear what I missed!

You using Firefox? I had that problem with Firefox and rather than mess around with settings, I just fired up IE to download the show.Billy wrote:So I paid for the London show, but when I go to download it, each file is only 1 kb in size...obviously not correct. Here is the situation. I remember someone mentioning this problem with the first Livedownload release and the advice given was make sure you are using IE 6.0 and are accepting cookies.skippy the wonder dog wrote:You using Firefox? Right now my computer is infected with spyware and/or viruses. Last weekend I tried my best to get it running a little more smoothly, but in the process my IE got screwed up...so much so that I haven't been able to properly use it all week. I wasn't to upset because I have Netscape as a backup. Anyways, I didn't realize that you needed IE to do the Livedownloads thing and I went and ordered the London show on my credit card, then discovered I'm hooped for the download. I even downloaded a few other browsers to see if they would work...Opera and Firefox, but no luck.
My last resort is to ask someone here who has downloaded it to send me a copy. I'm not expecting you to simply take my word on it, so PM me and I'll give you concrete proof I paid for it. Perferably if a Calgary persone could help me out that would be fantastic...maybe we could arrange to meet and I'll give you blanks, or trade for some DVD's or something.
Looks like I'll be formatting my hardrive and starting fresh this weekend.
I also emailed Livedownloads customer service, but this appears to be my problem with my browser and nothing on their end of things..thus my concern over wasting $12.95 american.

So I've listened to all of disc 1 of Ottawa now, and it sounds superb.
One suggestion though, I noticed that there were mics placed throughout the crowd at the show....and on listening to NOIS, you can barely notice the crowd at all, which is a shame because the crowd basically drowned Gord out after the "i swear to god she said...." bit. Also during the rant in Meridian where he's yelling "let me hear you say something! That was you, not him!" bit, the crowd was absolutely ROARING, which you don't really notice.
Not a big thing, but it might give future shows more "atmosphere"....
Thanks again, guys.

Could be a matter of one persons perception is another's annoyance. I'm sure they go for the best sound quality for the releses and the crowd could have been too much. It is cool when Gord does back off and let the crowd take over but i like it better when the crowd tries to sing along but he fucks w/them and sings out of place.

It's *not* your problem at all. It is 100% Livedownloads' problem. Firefox is a modern browser that supports web standards and Livedownloads is being complacent by not supporting it. IE is a cumbersome hazard to the security of peoples computers due to all the spyware and crap that can be let through while using it. Many people are switching to Firefox because it is a safe and better alternative.Billy wrote: Here is the situation. If they can't make their site work with a modern and viable browser alternative they aren't serving the customer as they should be. It's not your problem at all, Livedownloads should accomodate you rather than you having to go out of your way.
