Quick question for anyone who might have noticed this...the London and Ottawa shows are no longer even mentioned anywhere on the livedownloads.com webpage....anyone else seeing this, or is it just me??? Maybe this means the shows are being put up as we speak....fingers are crossed!!! either that, or they aren't showing up anytime soon.....can't see it being that though....

why do people pre-order a download? it isn't like they will sell out or anything

Well, that's just great. They'd better not cancel them.

So they'll be notified the minute it's available?

I seriously doubt they'd cancel this, after not only advertising it but allowing pre-ordering. There would have to be a serious problem, I would think, for them to do something like that.

Hummm.............if they were gonna be adding the show, why would they take the number of (3) from the SHOWS marked on the main page, and put it to just (1)......
hummmmmm
Anyways, i do hope they do release the shows! If not, i hope they give us a reason!

This would all be so much easier if they just took a page out of Pearl Jam's book by releasing the shows on disc and selling them in stores. Seriously, it can't be that difficult to do. I know it's way cheaper to release them online, but at least by putting them in stores you don't have to worry about all the annoying delays and technical glitches. Just my opinion of course.

I'm sure they are just going over the recordings doing editing and making sure they sound the best that they can. This can be quite a time consuming task. They have to make these tapes sound perfect they have alot of competition. And I'm sure they don't want to seed this show with a glitch like the Toronto show was. Not to mention all the anticipation they are building up in people.

The way I see it is the longer they take means the more work that is going into the recordings. We will be in for a treat sometime in the near future and in the mean time we have how many hip boots to listen to?

Um, it was always one ... they didn't count the pre-order shows in the number of shows to start with, so I wouldn't read too much into this.

Then you'd have all the delays associated with manufacturing, shipping, warehousing, more shipping....

Before we all panic, if you go to the Hip page at livedownloads.com you'll notice it doesn't load properly. Could be the "preorder" records were set to expire, because of the anticipated Friday release, and that's why they've disappeared. So let's all take a deep breath and fly into a rage only after they announce this release is cancelled. :)

I'm with Casey on this one. Despite the added delay, a hard copy would be the better route to go. It'd make it accessible to everyone, not just the tech savvy, and it'd be a much higher profile initiative.

However, I understand that Peal Jam can afford to that sorta thing, whereas our boys need to go the "no overhead" route which online downloads provide. Better than nothing I guess.

My preorder for the 2 shows disappeared as well. I have similar speculations as the rest of you. I just hope they recorded Halifax and have it for release sometime soon! End of the Canadian Tour with a 3 encore performance. Seems like a good candidate to me!
