Hmmmm... I have a feeling you'll be hearing a LOT about that when a certain time of the year rolls around!
Good to have ya, welcome aboard!
And... well I won't even tell you what sick initiation rituals Casey, K-Town, Wendy, Jenna and Gibby have been known to have in store... just make sure to bring a change of pants.
Dame's right. I can be downright evil!

Just kidding of course. Welcome to tbe board!

OK, so now that I've discovered this thread....
My name is Rob. I'm 19, and I'm doing a double major BBA/Spanish at Acadia University in Wolfville, NS. I've been a casual Hip fan for a while, but I didn't get super into them until the last little while. I love music in general, and play guitar (oddly enough, I have almost identical instruments to both Gord D. - Takamine Acoustic - and Robby - PRS Custom 22). I obviously love the Hip, but I also really enjoy Oasis, U2, Great Big Sea, The Goo Goo Dolls, Powderfinger and Matthew Good (Band). Not much else to know...

Hi from Guelph!

Hey everyone, I'm a 24yr old going to the University of Guelph and I've been crazy about the Hip since I was 14 or so. The first songs I remember hearing that I really got into were Daredevil and Nautical Disaster. I grew up in Montreal and just went back there a few weeks ago to catch my first Hip concert (what the heck took me so long?!?!) It was truly an awesome experience and I'm going to see them again in Hamilton for new years with about 20 other people. Looking forward to it so much!
That's about it,
Mike

Greetings and salutations! My name is Amanda, and I hail from one of New York City's northern suburbs, a little tiny place called Mahopac. I'm currently a fifth-year seniour in the environmental engineering program at the University at Buffalo. I remember being in the car while my mom pumped gas, hearing "My Music @ Work" on the radio. It stuck with me for weeks before I learned who it was. I was officially hooked.
My first Hip show was the Music Without Borders tribute concert in 2001, and the only other time I've seen them was at Irving Plaza in NYC in 2003. I feel so out it

Hi folks--having just posted a reply to a thread, I thought I had better run in here and introduce myself as well. My name is Shelley, I'm... well, I'm old, okay?... and I'm in Halifax. Yes, I was at the Hip show this past December. Right at the back, but had a great time. I was introduce to the Hip by my younger brother long about the time of Road Apples and was a casual fan for years. Then I spent several years living in the southern US and discovered how much I missed not being able to count on a certain amount of ambient Hip--the night I stumbled over "Blow At High Dough" on Rick Mercer's show on PBS, I nearly burst into tears. Object lesson in not taking the good stuff for granted.
Anyway, having learned my lesson, here I am. I'm really enjoying reading this forum. Cheers!
