Hello everyone.
I am Robert, a UK-based graphic designer. Loved the Hip since 1992, but we get nothing of theirs over here; no videos, two gigs every two years if we're lucky... couldn't even get IBE! (so a big thank you for that one to Maple Music!).
I think I'm going to enjoy my time here.

Hello all. My name is Jay and I live in Regina, Saskatchewan. I have had this site bookmarked for a year or so, but I've only been posting in the last month. I lurked (and ocassionally posted) on a.m.t-h for a few years but I think it's officially dead now...great to have this site available.
Anyways, I just found this thread now, so better late than never. I became aware of the Hip in 1990, and somewhere beween Road Apples and Fully Completely I became a diehard. I read another post on this site that talked about a July '91 concert at Doris Knight Hall...I wasn't there, I didn't know...what the hell was my problem! Finally saw them in '95 at ARA in Craven, and next Saturday will be my 10th concert. I do CAD design for a construction company in Regina, and I've seen a few Regina addresses in this group, so hopefully we can have some further local communication.
Go Riders Go!!!
Jay

Hello All:
Been lurking and occasionally chiming in over the last few days and then I discovered this thread. I'm Evan, 44, from Kamloops, BC. I work in television as a commercial production editor. As it turns out, "opiated" works just down the hall from me in the same building, he's a radio announcer. I had no idea until he pm'd yesterday. Small world eh?
I've lived on a steady dose of the Hip ever since I saw the Much Music World Premiere of NOIS way back in 19....ahhh.....mrrrrme.....mmrrrrme....something. Man, has it been that long? Actually, I think that's one of the big reason's I love this band so much, their staying power. They're true to themselves, true to their fans and they've just kept cranking out quality music year after year. Kinda endearing wouldn't you say?
Anyway, it will be my 11th concert as of tomorrow in Kelowna and I've been lucky enough to have seen them twice, right here in my home town of Kamloops.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Nice to know you all.

Welcome tough talkin' goalie, but I've got to say, that avitar really creeps me out for some reason! It looks more like a mass murderin' goalie than a tough talker! Enjoy your stay, but please don't hurt me...

Don't worry, I'm harmless. However, I do have to agree with you, the avatar is kinda "Jason-esque" I'll so some searching and find a friendlier goalie and reduce the creep factor. Afterall, when you strip away the pads, goalies really are good people....

It's impossible not to like The Hip. I know many who've tried, few succeeded.
Glad to have you aboard!
