First I'll say this... maybe claiming it was a dumbass thing to say was too strong... but I still disagree strongly with your stance that the Toronto setlist sucked. And maybe it's just me, but it seems much more people thought the Toronto setlist was great than share your view... it doesn't prove anything, but perhaps it's something to think about.
As for what setlist was better... I'm not making that call, I think both were great. Here are the differences between the two:
Toronto vs. London
Grace, Too vs. Lake Fever
Silver Jet vs. Twist My Arm
As Makeshift as We Are vs. Locked in the Trunk of a Car
Nautical Disaster vs. 700 Ft. Ceiling
It's a Good Life if You Don't Weaken vs. Are We Family
Gift Shop vs. Fire in the Hole
Springtime in Vienna vs. Daredevil
Three Pistols vs. Scared
Boots or Hearts vs. Long Time Running
How can you claim one is better than the other? Sure I would have been thrilled to hear some of those London songs live, especially Twist My Arm, Locked, Are We Family and Daredevil. But on the other hand I would have been disappointed not to hear those Toronto songs, especially Grace, Nautical, It's A Good Life and Three Pistols. So to me that's an even trade.
My point is, the complaining of the set-lists is tiresome and upsets many of us Hip fans, maybe even most of us. Of course you have the right to your opinion... just don't expect everyone to agree with it!
