I will close the bidding on December 10th or so..

I also have a few Joe Sakic Jersey #s that are signed that I might put up if everything goes well as well as a Ray Bourque signed # too!
The Bourque one sounds interesting.. .Which jersey is it? (Colorado - White or Maroon, Boston - Old white/black, new white/black, 3rd)?

I'm with Peter on this one. I ordered some DVD's from him around the same time he got into his accident. I didn't get anything in the mail for awhile, then I e-mailed him to find out what was going on. He told me the situation and then I got the DVD's in the mail a couple days later. Which he included a extra DVD for free for taking some time. Since then, I've ordered a couple more DVD's from Peter and have had no troubles. Thanks alot Peter :thumb:

To "SRB" and "thedarkcanuck"..Hey he got you your stuff on time, that's great guys, seriously. I see you werent members last years when Peters Charity drive was on last year...Now last time I looked it was illegal to sell bootlegs, is it not ? Do we not chastise those who sell on Ebay? Well this isn't Ebay, and he sold hundreds if not thousands last year, under the assumption ALL PROFITS were going to CHARITY . After all these purchases last year we never heard a thing back from good old Peter. Nothing, NOTHING, gone for 9 months, many of us without our boots. Some did get their boots on time , many of us didn't. He said the boots would be there in 2 weeks and they showed up 7 or 8 months later. The fact money was taken in the name of Charity, which Peter has avoided addressing is the real point...Where are the Receipts Peter? You named the SPCA and Camp Trillium as the benificiaries of most of your cd drives. Your response to my queries left me more suspicious and only raised more questions..

livehip wrote: I understand your skepticism but everyone did indeed get everything that they were promised and I tried to get everyone more than what they originally asked for a the beginning.
Yeah, they did, some 8 months later without a word.

livehip wrote: Believe me or not, but I was in a REALLY bad car accident (I'd be a pretty sick person to make something up like that.. if you truly don't believe me I'll send you some pictures of my foot on how bad it really was. I do not have any pics of the car, and I wouldn't even want to see them if I did).. I had 12 months of rehab (EVERY SINGLE DAY)..
Yes you would be pretty sick, although i'm not questioning your accident, and it has no bearing on the matter of charitable donations. OK, so you had rehab every day.. Let's look back on this. On Fri Sep 12, 2003 you posted in some topic, 14 days later you made a thread called(1) "Things" in which you explained you had a serious car accident, you almost lost your leg...You'd be liquidating your cd's etc.. From your accident, Sept 26th, until Dec 18th, the day you disappeared, you posted on more than 25 seperate days, in several threads, mostly about selling boots, merchandise and your hockey pool for money. This is when you would have been the most debilitated by your accident, yet after Dec 18th you couldn't post because you were too busy with rehab, life was more important ? You pushed hard the last 2 months before you disappeared to sell your boots for "the Needy Family" or for Camp Trillium or the SPCA. You said (2) "I want to get everything to her by the 20th of December so please pm me if you're interested.." Again, so you disappeared on the Dec 18th, no word on the needy Family, no word this year on that needy family from last year. Where are the receipts from Camp Trillium and the SPCA ? By conservative estimates your DVD /CD gig would have easily brought in THOUSANDS. EASILY and VERY Conservatively.

livehip wrote:. my computer did die on me at one point and I just never had a chance to get it fixed or anything of that sort and I was too busy with rehab...
I will due my best to post a picture of all the things that we get for the family...
I could take a pic of something I buy at wall mart and scan it. I don't even care about the family this year, though my suspicions are that it is the same as last year. I don't trust you..I never asked for pics of things you bought for the family this year, I want pics of the receipts from the SPCA and Camp Trillium from last year.

livehip wrote: I have been around the online hip community for about 9-10 years so there is no need to think that I'm trying to rip anyone off. I've met a good chunk of the people here as well...
You've been in the community for 9 years so I can trust you ? You've met other hipbasers ? Well you must be an honest guy then, no one in a position of trust has ever screwed someone? I don't think you need me to list off various situations in which people of trust have betrayed others...Now I can trust you because you've been in the hip community for 9 years ? That holds no water. You want me to trust you ? Account for the money that went to charities. Let's see the receipts, you have conveniently left that out of your response. Give me the location you made the deposits in, what branch of the SPCA ? Did you have a contact there ? What about Camp Trillium ? On Fri Nov 28, 2003 10:28 am,(4) you stated " I forgot to mention that if need be, before I get rid of my entire hip cd collection I will buy some more blank cds for it just for this occasion... " Look on the first page of this very thread, at the 299 hip boots. Since you were immersed in rehab explain to me how you managed to collect 299 Hip boots when you werent even able to message someone on the boots you chose not to send ? Because you were too busy rehabbing. Your collection was liquidated last year right ? That's what you stated you were doing last year.Your comp was down so you surely couldn't have downloaded them. This is to say nothing of signed Jerseys and hundreds of other boots you are selling under the assumptions Charitable donation.

livehip wrote: In the end everyone did get all their things as promised... there was no excuse for being so late, but you have to realize that sometimes personal matters are MORE important...
Rehab was more important ? Please , you were rehabbing fine and posting regularly when the injury would have been at it's worst. Your first post back and no explanation, no mention of last years needy family, no total amount of money donated to Camp Trillium or the SPCA. Your story is full of inconsistency and deception, you leave me with no means of understanding this, other than you are a complete fraud.

Trading has always been based on good will/trust and sharing. Chris created a tracker for Hip torrents, Jerremy has the 100thmeridian,Tony uploads vids/interviews/boots often to the 100thmeridian as do many other users, people are proud to share that music, and they are giving. Peter is selling boots, with no evidence of any charitable donation. Common sense says after you collect thousands of dollars of other peoples money, you might wanna let them know how your charity drive went. Peters charity drive ended when he disappeared for 9 full months...Rehabbing right ? Show the receipts. Plain and simple. I'd rather make a fool of myself posting this and have you prove me wrong, but from everything i've seen and read it points to something very underhanded. Explain the contradictions..People seem to think this about getting your boots...eventually, it's not.

I would also like to make a public apology to "mark", he had the courage to question Peter about the receipts last year, and I was foolish enough to defend Peter merely on the basis of faith in goodness, and critcized "mark" instead. Sorry mark..

Hey Mark, I understand your concern, but there is one misconception you have that needs to get cleared up, rehabbing from an injury like that doesn't start right away; my brother in law got into a bad car accident that nearly tore his leg off from the knee down a couple years ago and spent 2-3 months recuperating from the accident itself then spent 7 months of pure hell trying to learn how to walk again. Serious rehabbing doesnt take place till the doctors feel that the stress isnt going to cause damage to the blood vessels and ligaments, as far as I know.

You're right, I mean I really don't know what it takes, that's true...My point with the rehab is, there is no reason for not being able to post, or getting a friend to. As I recall a few people in Feb or March e-mailed him and he responded back, so there is no reason for not posting an explanation to why people are waiting for boots...etc...I am being rather abrasive, but I find this whole thing so suspicious. I just want straight up answers...Like, yes I have receipts, yes I gave the money to the SPCA and Camp Trillium. I really wouldn't be hounding like this if I got any kind of confirmation. Everything points to something being askew, and I don't relish what I post, in fact I felt sick after posting it, you trust someone and hope they don't betray yours. Everyone has trusted Peter, but everything I see points to the opposite. Just too many inconsistancies, contradictions and no answers to even confirm the money was given charity.

I am not accusing Peter of being a theif or a liar, but at the same time, I do not think Mark's request is unreasonable in asking for some proof.

Sorry Toronto ended up being a lot longer than I expected.. I don't know how you people who live there stand that traffic.. 11pm and it's bumper to bumper... crazy stuff...

anyway congrats to SRB he won the Gretzky jersey for ONLY $150 usd. valued at much much more I can guarantee you that.

for those who doubt me or anything I do, I completely understand you, you most likely haven't been around that long since if you did, you'd realize that when I had a bit more time on my hands I ran a website that at the time was one of the larger and more extensive hip sites out there (livehip.com).. I used to run trees for people and have literally probably burnt 5000 cds for people before someone suggested I start collecting donations [people told me to keep the money and I didn't want to since I didn't think that was fit].. so myself, Scott M. and a few others began setting up fundraisers .. I used to put up every detail on my website but that doesn't exist anymore so I don't put it anywhere... I used to solely donate to Camp Trillium, but then I switched to the SPCA, and at last Christmas a needy family. At the beginning I'll admit people were donating a good chunk, and I think $1000 was raised at one point for Camp Trillium.. it was great.. now not that many people donate anymore.. to whom ever thought it was thousands that I raised last year for the family you're well off.. I think I was asking for $30 for 8 dvds which cost at the time $2.25 each or so, not including shipping.. basically it ended up being not much more than $5 a package...I also ended up putting in a ton of money from my own pocket because sometimes I made a mistake on the dvds etc.. I think the total was somewhere around $250-300ish.. I unfortunately didn't write down the final tally, which was in my end was wrong because I never had these ridiculous accusations before..I'm not going to find any excuses for the delays in the packages last year, that was not my fault... try doing physio for a year and losing almost an entire year of your life... not very fun whatsoever... I should have a receipt from Camp Trillium from a few years ago but I'm not 100% sure where it is.. when I was sending out the donations I sometimes sent them to Scott first and he would do them... I also never said no to people sending me cheques or money orders named written to the SPCA or anything like that. I even had one person tell me they sent the cheque straight to Camp Trillium.. I gave the person the benefit of the doubt... like I said again, I will try to find the receipt from camp t, I have nothing from the SPCA since it was given through my local office.. I'll probably take heat for this but it doesn't bother me, I know what I did... I don't think people understand the gravity of the accusations either. I'm not some student who's scraping by and needs some money.. I've got a good job, and $300 while is a good amount of money it's not worth going through all this trouble of doing dvds/cds and getting in trouble... think about it, it doesn't make any sense.. and everyone had the choice to say yes or no... I never forced anyone to do anything...

that being said, I'm tired of people accusing me of faking my accident and saying that I would keep this money so I will only keep doing this if the people who want anything send me a money order/cheque written to the SPCA/Camp T.. just to let you know about $235 has been raised for this year's family, mainly thanks to the Gretzky jersey. congrats to Scott for winning..

I would like to vouch for Peter.
He has been around forever.
I have never heard any complaints for years up until his accident.
Check out an archive of his old website:

I also sent him my Digital camera, with all my gear (bag, 2 batteries, camera, audio/video wires for connections to a pc, or a tv) Valued over 1800.00!
