Had a great time last night. Nice to catch up with Jeffro and Tony before the show. Very nice meeting your wives too. Tony: thanks for the wings and nice pre-show atmosphere.
Chancellor: Sorry we couldn't catch up before the show.
Really thought Gord's voice was on point. A lot clearer than when I last saw them a few years back. Not too many gems in the setlist but I haven't heard Looking, Pigeon, Lionized, Eldorado and Wherewithal in quite some time.
I just re-visited my excel sheet that I keep of all the hip/gd shows I've seen. That was actually number 79 for me. Perhaps I'll have to consider the Oshawa gig to make it an even 80.

sherpa wrote: I also wish Gord would stop singing out of phase. Delaying the delivery of every line in some songs in what seems to be an attempt to say fu if u want to try to sing along. I know it is poetic licence and in some cases trying to sing something that maybe he is bored with but it makes it hard to sing along to and get into as much in my opinion.
Just be thankful that he's actually SINGING on this tour and using his natural range. In my opinion, as long as he's not screaming his way through the songs, he can screw with the phrasing all he wants.

Yeah that's not what the title is at all, is it...
Oddly, when my friend sent me the update his iPhone changed "Escape" to "Victory."

First show at the ACC for me. Actually kind of shocked it took this long, but finally did it. Back of the 300 level,
little bit further than I was in Boston last month.
Rob was on fire last night, couldn't believe how awesome his work was. The rest of the guys were solid of course. So much intensity, on both the regular set and the FC set. Blow in particular was phenomenal.
Will be taking the wife to her kind of first ever show (the first in 2009 went so badly for us I don't really count it) in April. If it's anywhere near this good I know she'll love it.

paid $100 charges in, per ticket, face. lower level at the back. perfectly in view, actually.
cruised in for hip stage time and had the best show in awhile
everything about it was great. the neighbours included!
the band is in top form. LOVE FC X 10
loved the back drop/lights/sound and song selection especially
we are totally blessed that it can still be this great!!
