phpbb3 was just released - the long-awaited upgrade to phpbb2 which runs hipbase.

I just upgraded the forum at
www.bangkoktobabylon.com/forum to phpbb3. The process was very easy.

phpbb3 is much more secure and faster vs. phpbb2. Certainly worth taking a look at phpbb3. vbulletin is rock solid ... that is for sure. Lots of good options these days.

Ok, I finally got around to upgrading. I still have to customize the template. Let me know if you are having problems.

The notification emails are coming from lance at hipbase instead of mailer... but it looks good!

two things.
1. could you set it so that links automatically open a new window?
2. is there a 'quick reply' box in phpBB?
3. the new layout is much better.
