My name is Brian and hail from Kilmarnock, home of Johnnie Walkers. I stumbled across TTH only a couple of years ago when checking out Canadian bands.

Welcome, welcome. Aside from Canadian favourites... any UK bands that we should be checking out?

Last week I saw Athlete and Snow Patrol; the week before, Coldplay. A great couple of shows!

Other than TTH nothing much grabbed my attention however I've listened to Rush for a number of years. As for UK bands try The Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party, Dogs Die In Hot Cars and Kasabian.

Thanks for the heads up!

"The Kaiser Chiefs" play here in Toronto this weekend. Thier single, "I Predict A Riot" is way overplayed and has worn me out. Same goes for Kasabian; single came out, and was overplayed.

Both bands were featured as The Next Big Thing on the main New Rock radio station for the past few weeks.

Have you checked out the Sam Roberts Band? They opened for The Hip on a couple of tours and are most excellent.

Hey hip fans, i'm just new to the forums, but a long time TH fan. I'm 19 YO college boy taking film and special effects living in the okanagan. My life consists mostly of time split between going to school watching movies and listening to old hip shows. Anyway, i'm glad to now be part of this community.

Hello, I´m Emma, I´m 21 years old going on 22, I live in Gävle, in the middle of Sweden on the countryside. I´m currently unemployed, and have no idea at all what I wanna do with my life. I love drawing, my greatest interest and hobby, and languages. Though ironically enough I only speak two - swedish and english.

I became a Hip fan early 2004, so I´m a newbie... I saw an 1995 episode of SNL, and TTH was performing Grace, Too. And I fell in love... Since you can´t find TTH records in the stores over here, I downloaded some songs from Kazaa, and loving what I heard, I´ve been trying ever since to get my hands on all their records. My collection this far: Road Apples (vinyl), In Violet Light, and Up to Here. :D

Welcome Emma. You can download all kinds of free live shows from my site: http://tracker.hipfans.com . As well, check out www.livedownloads.com for some live professional recordings that you can purchase and download.

(The DVDs that are available from my site are all region code free, so they should play fine on your DVD player.)

Yeah, I probably should have done this first before I made some posts in the forum... but anyway... my name is David Schneider and I am a Hip fan from the home of the Buckeyes, Columbus Ohio. I've been a devout Hip fan since the TATH tour and have been surfing Hipbase and participating in the Henhouse listserv since late last year. I heard about Hipbase at the last concert I went to: the Bijou in Toledo Ohio in the fall of last year. I was standing in line to get in behind a guy wearing a Hipbase shirt. I quietly made a mental note of it and went home to check it out for myself - anyone want to lay claim to being that person? We were lined up to the left of the Bijou front entrance waiting for the doors and we were *just* at the edge of the building - if that rings a bell... anyway, my other interests are Ohio State football, Indians baseball, and really just baseball in general.
