I may be getting video for 03/23/07: Aneheim: House of Blues and 03/24/07: Los Angeles: El Rey Theatre, but I don't have a mic. Is it worth it just using the built in mic?

If there's someone else there doing the audio recording then you could over dub your video recording. In my experience, built in video camera mics don't hold up too well to that sort of volume.

HOB don't alow video....

And it depends on the video camera - my Panasonic internal mic is great, my Sony is crap.

And I am sure that that "Locked" will be taping the Boston show.

It says Anaheim and El Rey are "confirmed". I didn't see any mention other than mine, so did someone else tape? Cause I didn't get to.

Anaheim was recorded, and there are tapers attending El Rey.

Stay in the loop on the tapers and the tour here:

Wow, nice. Also, I can't say it enough, Chris, but thanks for all the work you do for us. If it weren't for you, I'd own a whopping 0 bootlegs.

So, no video was taken for the Anaheim show, right? Some friends of mine say they swear they saw a few video cameras, but I keep telling them video wasn't allowed. Is there something I'm missing?

Well according to Mark video wasn’t allowed, only audio. I didn’t see any video being taken, lots of cell phone videos and pictures, but nothing professional. If it was filmed it had be stealth which means the quality most likely will suffer as a result.

The LA show did allow video.

Damnit. I keep feeling like i picked the wrong show. I keep hearing that the L.A. show was way better.

I was at the LA show, it was pretty kick ass, but I can't compare it to the Anaheim show, I wasn't at that one.

I believe *someone* *may* have gotten video from the LA show, possibly even with multiple cameras...

Guess we'll have to wait and see...

I will be going from Rochester to Seattle for the 1st leg.

For the 2nd leg I will be doing the two Detroit shows and Cleveland, Lancaster and Hampton Beach, Philly and Washington. I am still thinking of the Burlington, Clifton Park, Boston, NYC, Atlantic City ones.

The 3rd leg will depend on my schedule and my willingness - maybe I'll pull a Chris. :-)

I do anticipate some taping issues at a number of the clubs the Hip are playing at - all HOB venues, the LA venue, the SXSW showcase, the NYC venue. Porbably it will be audio only for these venues because of their strict no video taping rules.
Hey Mark where will you be partying before the shows in Detroit? I'd love to buy you a beer for all of your efforts.
I'll be in a black hat and World Container hockey jersey. Probably startin out at Cheli's Chili and then State bar if I'm not standin in line.
